Concrete Cutting

Concrete cutting is often carried out by professional companies like us to ensure the job is done safely and correctly. Cutting concrete can be carried out in a number of ways, however, using high pressure water jetting to cut concrete is becoming more popular due to its many advantages when compared with other concrete cutting methods. For further information on concrete cutting and high pressure water jetting, visit us online.

Surface Preparation

When concrete is being laid, the old surface will need to be cleaned and prepared to ensure it is level. Preparing the surface can mean the removal of concrete, residue, carbon build up and other loose materials. Surface preparation can be carried out using water jetting and a variety of pressures, nozzles and flows. Visit Sabre Jetting for more details.

Concrete Cutting using Water Jetting Techniques

Cutting concrete by using high pressure water jetting techniques is by far one of the most effective ways of doing it. The other traditional method of concrete cutting is to use an air tool, machine mounted breaker. These traditional methods can cause damage to any steel reinforcing surrounding the concrete, whereas a water jet doesn't. Find out more by visiting us online.

Water Jet Concrete Cutting

One of the reasons for the popularity of water jet concrete cutting is that it meets even the strict environmental laws. It generates little dust due to the use of water, as there is no metal edge to sharpen, and no heat or spark generated during cutting. There are also no finishing steps required as the cut produced by the water jet is perfectly fine.  The forces involved make the use of water jet cutting with robotics possible.

Water Jetting

Water jetting involves pressurizing water to mega high pressures which then form an intense cutting stream To achieve these pressures, water is introduced into the unit via a booster pump and filter visit us online to find out more about water jetting and the water jetting services we provide please visit us online at http://www.sabrejetting.co.uk/

Water Jet Concrete Cutting

A technique of cutting concrete that uses no heat or spark is to use a water jet. Water jet concrete cutting uses compressed water that travels at twice the speed of sound to cut through concrete. The water used is at a high pressure, over 25,000 psi. This allows precise control over the cutting, resulting in the creation of complex shapes. Hydro Demolition To Be Carried Out By Sabre Jetting

Sabre Jetting Services Ltd are pleased to announce that we have been successful in our bid to carry out the major hydro-demolition works on the M5 Tewkesbury Road project which is set to start in November this year. The works consist of 40m3 of concrete removal to the abutments of the bridge running underneath the M5.

The hydro-demolition will be carried out in phases to ensure the structural strength of the bridge remains. Sabre will remove a section of the abutment which will then be poured back and allowed to reach strength before the next phase of hydro-demolition is required.

As part of the package, Sabre Jetting Services Ltd will be providing water using our tanker based hydro-demolition units and have also worked with the Environment Agency to create a solution, involving the use of one of our Siltbuster FB50 units, for discharging the run off water to nearby ground.

This project will serve as an excellent example of how Sabre Jetting Services Ltd are able to lighten the work load of our clients and meet the needs of a modern working site by providing a complete water jetting package. Sabre Jetting Services Ltd look forward to working with our long term partners Interserve and Amey towards the successful completion of this project.
